F.A.Q.

         Company:

  1. Who started MIG Cheese Factory? Co-owners and co-founders Abdul Gaffar and Khairul Sukri were the ones responsible for setting up MIG Cheese Factory. Do check out Our Team to learn more about them and their journey to becoming cheesemakers.

  2. How long have you been in business? The MIG Group of companies has been around for a while now. Abdul Gaffar’s father was the one who kicked things off with his livestock farm back in 1977. Since then, the Group has added numerous subsidiaries under its belt including MIG Landscaping, MIG Green Resources, MIG Dairy Fresh and yours truly, MIG Cheese Factory.

  3. Where is your team from? Our team includes expert cheesemakers and consultants from some of the largest cheese producing/consuming nations on earth, as well as Malaysia’s finest dairy-makers.

  4. Are you currently hiring? We are always on the lookout for talented people who can contribute to strengthening and growing our brand. If you think you have what it takes, do reach out to us via email at bdcheese@gmail.com.

    Factory:

  5. Where is your factory located? Our new home and factory is located in Ara Damansara, in the state of Selangor. One of the many reasons we chose to set up the factory next to our headquarters, is so that we can monitor the products closely.

    Cheese:
  6. What kinds of cheese do you produce? We currently mainly produce a range of cheese from the pasta filata family (mozzarella, burrata etc.), but other varieties of soft cheese are also produced here.

  7. Where do you get your milk? Our milk comes to us from a multitude of sources, and the milk we use will depend on the cheese we want to produce. Currently, the MIG Cheese Factory uses a mixture of fresh milk from our very own farm in Semenyih and imported frozen milk of the finest quality from Europe in order to be true to the rich and authentic flavours of cheese.

  8. What is the difference between buffalo and cow milk? Which is healthier? Buffalo milk is known to have a higher fat, lactose, mineral, protein and vitamin content than cow milk. Research shows that while both milk are beneficial to us, buffalo milk has been known to support long-term bone health, provide a higher count of antioxidants, and reduce the risk of heart-related issues by lowering your blood pressure.

  9. I’m lactose intolerant, will I have any problems if I consume any of your cheese? The levels of lactose in each kind of cheese varies, as well as how a person reacts to consuming certain varieties, hence, we cannot give a clear-cut answer to this question. Being lactose intolerant, however, doesn’t mean you have to give up eating cheese completely. The general rule of thumb is that hard cheese tends to have a lower lactose count compared to softer ones.

  10. How much milk is needed to make a kilo of cheese? This can vary greatly depending on the kind of cheese you are making and what kind of milk you use. Typically, you would need on average about 10 litres of milk to make a single kilogram of cheese.

  11. Where can I buy your products? Do you do bulk orders? You can currently buy our cheese at our online shop or visit our factory store. For bulk orders, please contact us for more information.

  12. Is it possible to customise your cheese if a customer has specific requests? How about collaboration projects? While customisation is not something we generally focus on, we are always ready to hear your ideas and concerns, and examine future collaborative work. Do contact us to discuss matters of this nature.
