Malaysians love cheese!
Traditionally, it has never really been a staple of our local diets, but in recent times we find ourselves adding it to pretty much anything we consume. From savoury to sweet to spicy, even Malaysia’s national dish, the ever famous nasi lemak, has not been spared by this cheesy revolution. The saying “The secret ingredient is always cheese” really holds true no matter which part of the world you find yourself.
With that saying in mind, MIG Cheese Factory came into being in 2020. Through our parent companies, MIG Farms and MIG Dairy Fresh, and with over 40 years of experience in handling dairy products and diary-related livestock, we are proud to bring you an exciting range of locally made cheese products from our very own factory located in Ara Damansara.

Our Factory
From the very start, we knew that it was essential to set up a place that is easily accessible not just to us, but to everyone. While our farm in Semenyih is not too far away, and we could have easily set up our factory adjacent to it, we value the importance of a peaceful and secure environment for the livestock. And so, we have chosen to build our factory adjoining our headquarters in Ara Damansara, where we can monitor the quality of the products closely.
Our factory has been designed and renovated to meet the strictest of food and health safety requirements. All the equipment is sourced and imported from some of the world’s major cheese producing nations, like Italy and Germany, and the factory is capable of producing up to 20 tonnes of various kinds of cheese within a month of working on a single shift.
With the way things are looking, we are positive that we will be able to expand our factory to produce even more, so that we can put cheese on the table of every single household in Malaysia.
Our Farm
The MIG group of companies started its journey back in the 1970s with a focus on buffalo and cow farming. Since, MIG has become Malaysia’s largest buffalo farm with more than 1200 buffalos and 300 cows in stock, and has since branched out into other dairy related businesses too.
Thanks to our many years of experience in handling livestock, we guarantee that only the freshest quality of milk is ever collected and used. We do this by incorporating the very best techniques and operating standards when taking care of, feeding and milking our cattle, going as far as to import specialized milking machines from major dairy nations.
Spread over 3 facilities in various states, MIG currently has the capacity to produce about 1000 liters of fresh milk a day, which is then in turn transformed into some of your favourite kinds of cheese.
Meet Our Team
Director
Initially in 1977, Abdul Gaffar’s father, Amirullah Mohd Zuman, herded buffalos to provide homegrown quality milk and meat for his family. Growing up in this environment, Abdul Gaffar grew accustomed to living and taking care of buffalos from a very young age, gaining valuable experiences that he would use later on in his business ventures.
Realising the potential for growth in this industry, he incorporated MIG Farms Sdn Bhd back in 2005 with a meager six buffalos, and has since successfully transformed it into Malaysia’s largest buffalo farm. MIG Farms, as well as Abdul Gaffar’s other subsidiaries have since gone on to win numerous awards and recognitions in the livestock and landscaping industries, industries, including Top 3 Landscaping Contractor for Sime Darby Sdn Bhd and The Premium Landscaping
Contractors award by the Island & Peninsular Group.
Director
With a background in accounting from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Khairul Sukri began his career at a private auditing firm before being accredited by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in 2007, and later, joined the Inland Revenue Board (LHDH).
He then turned his full attention to developing a successful e-commerce trading network, before deciding to put this knowledge to good use in ventures closer to his heart. As co-founder of MIG Dairy Fresh since 2018, he has succeeded in guiding the company to greater heights.
Today, MIG Dairy Fresh supplies restaurants and consumers with some of the highest quality buffalo milk both in Malaysia as well as neighbouring countries. In addition to this, he has been instrumental in helping build the MIG name and portfolio.
Director
A graduate of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), with a Masters Degree in Commerce and Business Administration, Mohd Izhar has held numerous prominent roles in major corporations and government agencies.
He was heavily involved in helping drive social and economic transformation in Malaysia during his time at the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), and as General Manager of Kencana Capital, he led the search for new investment opportunities, primarily in the property sector. At some point in time, he held the position of Executive Director of Yayasan Raja Muda Selangor and CEO of the Selangor Youth Community, projects that were the brainchild of the Crown Prince of Selangor.
Today, he shares his extensive knowledge in numerous fields with our cheese venture, and we have no doubt Mohd Izhar’s experience in negotiations and management will contribute greatly to MIG Cheese Factory’s rapid growth.
Cheese Expert
Jacopo is our very own in-house cheese expert with more than 20 years of experience in the F&B industry. Jacopo knew from an early age that his passion was cheese, and pursued his studies in Industrial Food and Beverage Production back home in Italy.
His first job was in a sales position for a dairy product company back in the early 2000s. By 2010 Jacopo had set out to explore opportunities outside of Europe. From Bangladesh to Thailand, and Mumbai to Hong Kong, Jacopo’s experiences in Asia have allowed him to consult and advise numerous F&B outlets including bakeries, gelato shops, pizzerias and even wineries, while opening numerous successful ventures of his own.
Now based in Kuala Lumpur, Jacopo currently runs our production and quality assurance departments.
